The main difference at Balfour, when all is said and done, is the capable, caring highly trained staff, whose goal is to provide a level of service unparalleled in senior care. Licensed nursing staff is on duty 24 hours a day. Our residents are individuals first and foremost, and their fulfillment and peace of mind is our prime concern.
Our health care residences (aka skilled nursing units), known as The Wellshire, maintain the residential feeling of our assisted living facility, but with attention to the added level of care the residents require. There are intimate dining rooms for the superb meals served by our talented chefs. Numerous choices are available, with particular emphasis on special diets geared to the medical needs of each resident.
Our structured activity program is full of enjoyable opportunities, and is tailored toward sensory stimulation, as well as therapeutic and cognitive experiences. Live and pre-recorded music, reading, dancing, cooking, current events, puzzles and movies provide residents with plenty of activities and communal involvement.
