Balfour Cherrywood Village was specifically designed to incorporate the recent advances in Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Memory Care. Our Town Square layout helps promote group activities and family gatherings, while increasing our resident’s feelings of well-being, self expression and security.
Because many Alzheimer’s patients experience an increase in physical activity, we have plenty of room to walk about, increasing their sense of freedom and reducing frustration and agitation. We’ve even included outdoor walking paths that wind their way through the lush, landscape of safe and secure yards.
We have a large, country kitchen that helps pleasant memories of past times emerge. Three delicious, home cooked meals are served family style every day.
And we offer a full calendar of activities, seven days a week, that lets our residents tap into their strengths in their world and in their time.
But what makes Balfour Cherrywood Village truly stand out is our staff. Our nursing team alone has over 75 years of combined experience. The staff-to-patient ratio is higher than most memory care facilities, so there is always time for personal attention. In addition, our directors are Eden-trained. Eden is a renowned international nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming care environments into communities where life is worth living.
While our largest program is residency in our community, we also offer day care for those with loved ones who prefer to live at home. This program gives the person with memory loss a social and active place to spend time, and it gives caregivers a welcome rest.
And for the times when caregivers need a vacation or to attend to their own health care, we also have respite stays when there are available apartments.
