All the comforts of home, with all the specialized care our residents need.

Balfour is a new generation of communities specially designed for Memory Care.

We offer two residential options; a continuum of care for early and mid-stage memory loss at Cherrywood Village and a 24/7 skilled nursing program for more intense care at The Reserve.

And like all Balfour communities, we offer a full Life Enrichment program that’s so essential for physical and mental well being. These programs are specially designed for people who need advanced memory care, with an emphasis on sensory stimulation.

Cherrywood Village

The first thing you notice about Cherrywood Village is the way everything has been designed around the public area we call the Town Square. This is so our residents have the freedom to move about that so many Memory Care patients crave.

Because people with memory loss need a balance of stimulation and quiet time, we have living rooms and dining rooms with three family style meals a day for social interaction, and small libraries and reading nooks for alone time. There’s even a country kitchen for supervised baking. We’ve found that those wonderful aromas help release pleasant memories of times past.

Cherrywood Village has two neighborhoods. Each accomodates 26 residents. Most rooms are private, for those residents who want more privacy, and some are shared for those who feel more secure with company.

All of our rooms and spaces have extra large windows that let in lots of natural light. This helps our residents keep in sync with the flow of the day and develop a natural, non-conceptual orientation to time.

The Reserve

This is an intimate setting where someone who needs advanced memory care can call home. The staff here is specially trained in the complexities of Alzheimer’s and dementia disease.

What you might not expect is how homey it feels. We even have a yard that’s as lush and beautiful as it is safe and secure. Because many Alzheimer patients have an increased need to move about, our fully supervised access to the outdoors means there’s no reason they should ever feel housebound here.
