Accounts Payable/Accounts Receiveable Specialist
Job Information
Position Summary:
The Account Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist performs Accounts Payable duties to include verifying purchases, ensuring invoice approval, entering invoices into accounting software for payment and posting entries to the general ledger. In this position you will issue payments to vendors and balance accounts payable at the end of the month. The successful candidate will also perform Accounts Receivable duties, including working with the Sales team and Executive Directors to ensure billing changes are accurate, entering changes into the accounting system, generating monthly invoices, making collection calls for past due accounts, depositing cash to the bank, posting deposits to the general ledger, tracking census, and balancing accounts receivable at the end of the month.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
Proficient with the use of Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office software products as well as experience operating a general ledger accounting system
Able to analyze and input data into accounting software program
Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
Must possess good communication skills and a high level of detail orientation
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
Minimum of 2 years prior Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience preferred
