Human Resources Coordinator

Coordinates daily HR program policies, plans, and objectives.  Responsibilities include answering inquiries, coordinating hiring activities and conducting hire orientations, processing employee change transactions, coordinating performance appraisals, maintaining employee and departmental files, compiling reports, coordinating benefit enrollments, coordinating worker's compensation claims, responding to unemployment claims, entering data into a PC using a software package, and completing other special projects as directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

§         High school diploma or equivalent

§         At least 2 years of experience in human resources

§         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

§         Working knowledge of HR functional areas

§         Basic knowledge of key HR regulations

§         Comfortable speaking in front of groups

§         Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English

§         Friendly, customer-service orientation and positive attitude

§         Proficient typing and computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

§         Attention to detail

§         Ability to prioritize and analyze various alternatives on the basis of importance

§         Ability to work beyond regular working hours (including weekends) as necessary

 

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
